Upcoming course - Person Centred Practises with Children and Young People: One Page Profiles

Outline

As part of the SEND workforce action plan there is an upcoming learning opportunity for one member of staff in each school to attend a one day programme on person centre practices and one page profiles provided by Helen Sanderson Associates.

Description

Developing One-Page Profiles

  • Participants will have a first draft of their own One-page Profile
  • Participants have an opportunity to view a number of examples of One-page Profiles for children, young people and schools staff and discuss how they can be developed and used.
  • Participants will have an overview of person-centered reviews and used the what’s working/not working tool to reflect on current reviews in their school

Outcome

To share practical person-centered thinking tools and practices that can be used with children, young people and families. These person-centered practices will ensure that:

  • The child/young person is kept at the centre of any information gathering or planning processes
  • There is good understanding around what is important to the child/young person and what good support looks like for them
  • That good person-centered conversations can inform Education, Health and Care Plans

There will also be opportunities for two delegates who have completed the programme to develop their skills further and complete a train the trainer programme to build internal capacity for the future.
