As a result of the restrictions imposed during the pandemic, the Child & Educational Psychology Service (CEPS) was not able to offer all face to face Supervision Sessions from April 2020.
To replace those Supervision sessions lost, we offer you two brief online training sessions. These are designed to help further build develop ELSAs skills for the return to school and supporting pupils post-pandemic building on training provided by Louise M Bomber to schools . The two sessions will cover:
1. Dan Hughes’ PACE model and Resiliency plus time for group discussion 2. Loss and bereavement plus time for group discussion
Accessing these sessions will replace the supervisions we’ve been unable to offer and will allow you to maintain your ELSA registration within Cheshire West and Chester and to continue to gain access to the ELSA resources SharePoint site.
These sessions are facilitated by the child and educational psychologist (CEP) who supervises your school ELSA. We ask ELSA Line Managers to prioritise their ELSAs attendance. When an ELSA cannot make an agreed supervision date under exceptional circumstances the psychology service will endeavour to offer an alternative date if available. To discuss further please contact:
Trained ELSAS who have previously attended the five or six day training in Cheshire West and Chester prior to September 2019.
