To develop your knowledge and understanding of Trauma Informed Practice Understand how to apply a trauma lens to inform all aspect of your work with children and families including recognise and respond to trauma to prevent re-traumatisation Understand Adverse Childhood Experiences and impact for children, young people and parents/carers Understand and develop a trauma informed approach to building resilience Develop the knowledge, confidence and application of motivational interviewing (MI) Have the confidence and practice skills to draw on trauma informed approaches and MI to provide sustained changes with children and families To draw on MI and Trauma Informed approaches when working with partners to develop a whole service approach to inform assessment, decision making and interventions with children and families. Develop an understanding of your role within Learning Conversations and Multi-Agency Group Supervision Have a clear understanding of how these frameworks support the New Ways of Working model and when they can be applied Develop knowledge and skills to shape practice, policy and systems across the partnership to implement and embed the New Ways of working model
